Scorching sunshine attracted thousands of people to Ackworth’s annual gala.
The popular event started with a parade through the village and finished at Carr Bridge Pavilion on Barnsley Road on Saturday.
The parade was led by the Ambassadors of Borrowash, an American style marching band from Derbyshire, who were followed by 16 organisations.
Gala queen Jaden Forrester, a pupil at Mill Lane School, arrived in style in a vintage vehicle.
The gala was opened by Ackworth Parish Council chairwoman Coun Sarah Balfour.
She also judged a fancy dress competition alongside Coun Pat Garbutt and Coun Jessica Carrington.
And the crowds were entertained by Ridgeside Falconry and the Lurcher Team, who performed acrobatic routines.
Local charities, groups and societies helped raise more than £10,000 for good causes.
Ackworth Parish Council admin assistant Kyla Batty said: “The weather was fantastic and it meant lots of people stayed out to enjoy the day
“Around 2,000 people came out and we were really pleased with the gala. There was lots of really good entertainment this year.”
