A cup of coffee with Coronation Street’s Norris was just one of the highlights of actor Mark Briggs’ day on the show.
Mr Briggs, 48, of Sandal, will feature in a scene of the ITV soap with mechanic Tyrone on Monday after filming in the summer.
He said: “It was an absolutely fantastic day even if it was a little surreal. The scene itself only took around two hours to film but I spent the day with all of the cast.
“I was looked after brilliantly. Myself and Alan Halsall, who plays Tyrone, were chauffeur driven to where they were filming the scene.
“I also met Malclolm Hebden, who plays Norris, and he ended up making me a cup of coffee. To say the whole experience was surreal would be an understatement.”
Mr Briggs who works as supply teacher is a full-time freelance actor with the agency Urban Talent.
He said: “I have only got about nine lines in the scene but the whole experience was just amazing.
“I met Thomas Ormson, who plays David Platt, and I shared a room with James Atherton, who plays the new bad boy Jamie Bowman.
“I am hoping they liked me enough to invite me back.”
Mr Briggs has previously appeared in BBC drama The Chase when he played the role of a photographer.
The scene featuring Mr Briggs’ will be shown on ITV during either the 7.30pm or 8.30pm episode on Monday, October 26.
