A QUAD bile that was being driven illegally was seized by police.
The South East neighbourhood police team seized the bike on Sunday, after PC Tracy Auty and PCSO Kate Dobbins saw it being driven on land belonging to Wakefield Council in Hemsworth.
It was then driven onto Moorfield Crescent, where the driver was stopped and it was discovered that the quad bike was not insured.
The driver has since been reported for summons.
Insp Jackie Turton of the South East NPT said: “The South East Neighbourhood Police Team have continued to tackle the problems of anti-social behaviour by quads and motorbikes.
“Please do not ride quads or motorbikes off road unless you have the permission of the land owner and if you ride them on the road then you must have insurance. Anyone with any knowledge of anyone riding off road please contact your local police.”
