Preparations underway for Pontefract Music Festival 2016
Around 250 people took to the stage at venues across the town during the last festival in March.
Organisers have begun preparations for the next event, which will take place in April at The King’s High School and Central Methodist Church.

Hide AdFestival organiser Norman Dale said: “We are hoping people will continue to support the festival next year.
“All the planning is now in place and now it’s a matter of seeing how many people will take part.”
The music festival will run from April 22-30 next year.
It will finish with a grand finale concert.
Organisers have also printed brochures with information about the festival and next year’s syllabus.
Dozens of talented musicians took part in the final concert and awards show at the last festival.

Hide AdThe concert was attended by Coun Sandra Pickin, the former Mayor of Wakefield, and Chris Wilton, of solicitors Hartley and Worstenholme, which sponsors the festival.
Winners crowned at the event included young musician of the festival Sebastian Williman, most outstanding open performance in music Matthew Rhodes and most outstanding under 16 performance in speech and drama, Charlotte Woodhead.
Mr Dale added: “The last festival was a great success and we are really looking forward to it coming around again.
“We hope to welcome back all last years competitors and look forward to greeting new ones.
