Police bust two cannabis farms

Police have busted two cannabis farms with more than 200 plants.

Officers from Wakefield Rural and Wakefield Central Neighbourhood Policing Teams joined forces yesterday to carry out a drugs search of two neighbouring properties in Crofton, Wakefield.

They found “sophisticated” cannabis farms in both buildings.

No arrests were made and police are appealing for information to help them locate those responsible.

A message on the NPT Facebook pages said: “Once again we would like to thank the public for all your help in providing us with the information that allows us to carry out these operations.

“If you have information about this, or any other suspicious activity, please contact us on the 101 number.”
