Do you recognise any of these nightclubs from through the years? Rooftop Gardens and Casanovas, twinned night clubs in the city centre, were the places to be seen in Wakefield in the 1980s. Kiko's, in Pontefract, was once a popular spot. Last year, it was announced that Wakefield Council were considering selling off the building for housing. Vicki, James, Ryan, Martin, Emma and Dynamo Dan enjoy a night out at Flares, on Westgate, in 2005. The nightclub is still open today. Before Kooky, there was Mustang Sally's, city centre nightclub remembered fondly by many of our readers. Bill Surtees is pictured in Mustang Sally's in 2004. Of course, you can't forget Quest, on Westgate, Mustang Sally's sister bar. In 2009, the bar began selling slippers to customers, offering them the chance to journey home in more comfortable shoes. The infamous Buzz Bar was housed in Unity House, in the unit which is these days home to The Establishment. And who could forget Havana? Matte, Kayle, Lisa and Steve enjoyed a night out at the Market Street hotspot in 2009. John, laura, Sara and Kim in Kinkiindie in 2008.
