Smiles all around as Castleford Tigers giveaway free kits to school children
Schools involved in the giveaway included Castleford Park Junior Academy, Castleford Academy, Airedale Infant School, Aberford Primary School, Swillington Primary School, Kippax Greenfield Primary School, Airedale Junior School, Airedale Academy, Lady Elizabeth Hastings Primary School and Oyster Park Primary School.
Community Director at Castleford Tigers Foundation, Simon Fox, said: “It’s a very difficult time for so many families and young people across the district and has been for many months.

“As a club and Foundation, supporting the community in any way we can is hugely important to us and we’ll continue to help those most in need as best we can.”
Pupils at each school were greeted by Tigers’ Mascot, JT, and Foundation staff to receive their shirts in a socially-distanced manner.
The club hopes to see them being worn at the Mend-A-Hose Jungle, the Castleford Tigers homeground, as soon as it is safe for crowds to return.

As part of the club’s next initiative, the schools will be nominating certain star pupils for individual success and they will then receive the recently unveiled Tigers 2021 home shirt ahead of the new season.
