Parents with children who have serious and complex illnesses are invited to visit a specialist nursery in Hemsworth next week.
The Laila Milly Foundation is hosting an open event and coffee morning at its day nursery on Wednesday, October 29.
Families can meet the staff, have a look around the facility and enjoy playtime with their children.
The foundation was set up by Steve and Maya McCormack after their daughter Laila Milly was diagnosed with a rare genetic condition.
She died the day before her first birthday but the couple continued with their plans and raised £165,000 for a nursery for youngsters with similar conditions.
The facility - at the back of McCormack’s Opticians on Kirkby Road - opened in August.
A masquerade ball will take place at the King’s Croft Hotel, Pontefract, on November 21, to raise funds towards the nursery’s running costs.
Tickets cost £25 and include a two-course meal, a chocolate fountain and a live singer and DJ. For more information about the open day, call 07846 986405.
To buy tickets for the ball, call 07791 400245.
