I AM pleased to report that on Sunday morning we introduce STREET PACT into the South East.
This is where your local team attend streets on their patch and visit all the residents.
The idea is to introduce ourselves to ensure you know how to contact us and to find out what issues the community has.
After the event we sit down with representatives from Wakefield council departments, Wakefield District Housing, the fire service, and the Primary Care Trust and plan how to address any problems.
We will follow this up with a further visit to the street at a later date where we will drop leaflets letting residents know the results.
I am looking forward to engaging with local people this way and am confident they will see the benefits.
The first one will take place at 11am on Rose Avenue at Upton.
We will be publishing further dates on the internet and Facebook.
