JUST two weeks after winning the Mr England title, a bodybuilder from Upton has now been crowned Mr UK.
Maurice ‘Moz’ Felstead, 44, of Jacks Way, Upton, won the National Amateur Bodybuilding Association (NABBA) Mr UK championship.
Mr Felstead, who trains at Superflex Gym and Fitness Centre, Upton, won the over 40s Mr UK Championships in Batley on Saturday.
He said: “It’s rounded off a perfect year. It’s a team effort and it’s been really nice for me to give something back to my family, my friends and the gym I work out at.
“It’s all come together this year. I have been dieting since March last year and all my hard work paid off at the weekend.”
Mr Felstead now holds the Mr Yorkshire, Mr England and Mr UK titles in his over 40s class.
And he also finished third in the Mr Universe championships in Southport on November 3.
He said: “I never ever thought I would win them all. If I was a betting man I might have bet on me winning Mr Yorkshire but never on Mr England or Mr UK.”
His success has led to an invite to the Mr Britain in May next year - the pinnacle of amateur bodybuilding in the county.
But Mr Felstead said that first he wanted to enjoy Christmas with his family.
