An actress was “over the moon” after landing her dream role to work alongside Hollywood star Drew Barrymore.
Louise Mulvana was cast as the American’s stand in and double in her new film Miss You Already.
The comedy-drama is about the friendship between two best friends and their journey when one starts a family and the other battles breast cancer.
Miss Mulvana, of Lupset, said it was a dream come to true to work alongside one of Hollywood’s biggest stars.
She said: “It was an absolutely amazing experience and when I started acting I never thought I would do something as big as this.
“When I have seen the trailers on television or the posters on the side of the bus, I can’t believe it. I’m so proud to have been apart of it.”
Miss Mulvana, 25, studied opera and theatrical singing at Leeds College of Music, followed by an acting course at Wakefield Theatre.
And after signing with Oakroyd Agency, she appeared as an extra in Emmerdale, Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell and Syndicate.
The agency then put her forward for the role to star as Miss Barrymore’s double.
Miss Mulvana said: “At first I had no idea the role was for her double. Then the agency started asking questions about my height and hair colour.
“I googled Drew and realised we were both 5ft 4in tall and had dark hair. But it was only when I turned up for filming I realised I would be working with her. I could not believe it.”
Miss Mulvana spent two days filming in Howarth and at Ikley Moor last October. And she met Miss Barrymore in between takes on set.
She said: “She was a lovely woman and really down to earth. We talked about Yorkshire and films.
“It was an amazing experience to work with her and a great education watching her in front of the cameras.”
Miss You Already, directed by Catherine Hardwicke, opens in cinemas today.
It stars Mamma Mia’s Dominic Cooper and academy award-nominated actress Toni Collette.
Miss Mulvana said: “All my friends and family will be going to watch it.
“It is definitely the biggest role I have done and hopefully it is just the start.”
Miss Barrymore was a child star in E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial and later appeared in Charlie’s Angels, 50 First Dates and Never Been Kissed.
