A meeting to reform the Upton branch of the Royal British Legion will be held on Monday.

The branch folded in the early 2000s due to ageing membership and dwindling numbers.

But Paul Bradfield who spearheads the Poppy Appeal for the village and helps to organise the annual Remembrance Day service is keen to revive it for people who have been in the armed forces.

The meeting will take place at 7.30pm at Upton Parish Hall on Harewood Lane.
