Letter - South Kirkby pub building should stay

THE old Crown Inn, South Kirkby, is a building of historical significance.

It had beautiful trees at the back but no more.

The pub rang to the sound of miners laughing and the landlord serving pints to one and all, but it is now time gentleman please on this old lady, as it stands quiet waiting to once more hear sound of happy people.

Should it be a shop or flats I have no preference, but it is not up to me, but you the people.

I like the idea of a shop but maybe you don’t, so have your say young or old and give this old lady a new lease of life as it is a grand old building and one that should be there for generations to see and use.
