Frickley Athletic are to be represented on the international stage this week after club captain Jameel Ible has been called up by St Kitts and Nevis for their second round matches in the 2016 Caribbean Cup.

The central defender, who has become a key player as the Blues have climbed the Evo-Stik Premier League in the last 12 months, will be hoping to add to the two caps he picked up in last autumn’s friendlies in Andorra and Estonia – when he was joined in the squad by forward Zeph Thomas, who was then also at Frickley before moving on.

Now another player to star for Frickley last season, striker Jacob Hazel, has also joined them in the squad.

Hazel finished the last campaign as top scorer with the Blues, but has just signed for National League side Gainsborough Trinity.

All three were hoping to be included in the St Kitts side taking on Suriname at home last night.

St Kitts, who are in group five in the competition, have a second game when they travel to play St Vincent on Tuesday, June 7.

The top two sides in the group progress to the third round where they could be drawn against Jamaica or Haiti.

Back at home, Frickley have announce match day admission and season ticket prices for the 2016-17 season.

After holding prices for a number of years the club says it has had to raise the cost by £1 with adult match day admission up to £10. Concessions are £7 and under 16s £4.

This rise is a result of the club having to become VAT registered as part of the process of building the new changing rooms, meaning they now have to pay VAT on gate receipts.

All under 16s will be entitled to apply for a season ticket which allows free admission to all home league games.

Adult season ticket prices rise to £165, although that still represents a £65 saving on the normal match day admission. Concession season tickets will be £105.

A full adult or concession ticket also allows entry into home pre-season games and Frickley Academy under 19s home matches. Anyone buying a full adult or concession season ticket will be eligible for one free away trip on the team coach during the 2016-17 season.

Half season tickets are available for 12 Evo-Stik League games at £90 for adults, £65 concessions.
