Plans to build new homes on the site of a former pub have been approved by the council.

Six detached houses will be built where the Bay Horse Inn once stood in South Hiendley after planning permission was granted to developer Keptcastle Ltd.

Each three-storey home will have either four or five bedrooms.

Access to the cul-de-sac development will be from Main Street.

A case report by Wakefield Council’s planning department stated that each home had adequate parking space and there should be no significant impact on local levels of traffic.
