Frickley Athletic will continue to have the services of promising young player Bailey Gooda until the end of the season after Barnsley FC allowed his loan spell at the SW Jackson Utilities Stadium to be extended.
Gooda has impressed during his first month with the Blues with the player also enjoying the experience so all parties were keen to continue the loan.
Frickley were without a game last weekend, but return to action in the Evo-Stik Premier League with a busy Easter programme that begins with a home game against second from bottom Colwyn Bay on Saturday (3pm).
They then play Grantham Town away on Monday (3pm) and Nantwich Town at home next Wednesday (7.45pm).
Karl Rose’s men also face three games the following week as the pace of their season hots back up again and they look to climb from their present tenth position in the table.
The Blues’ Sheffield & Hallamshire Senior Cup semi-final at Hallam FC has been arranged for Thursday, April 7, kick-off 7.45pm.
The tie will take place at Hallam’s Sandygate ground. Admission prices and further details will be announced when known.
The other semi-final sees either North Gawber Colliery or Shaw Lane Aquaforce host Handsworth Parramore.
The final is due to take place at Sheffield United’s Bramall Lane ground on Tuesday, April 27.
