It was a prom night full of glamour for budding Ackworth actress, Ella Ross.

The Hemsworth Arts and Community College student’s special evening will feature in a reality television show tonight.

Sixteen-year-old Ella, of Hillside Road, applied to take part in Channel Five’s new documentary programme, Prom Queen Divas UK, after seeing an advert on Facebook.

The show follows her and her friends, Ellie, Tylah and Jordan, as they prepared for their big evening at Burntwood Court earlier this year.

Miss Ross, who wants to be a soap star, said: “They filmed us getting ready for the prom, having our hair and make- up done, leaving in our transport and then our after prom party.

“I don’t think we were divas though, We were quite chilled out and really enjoying ourselves. Prom is a massive deal for everyone anyway and the cameras following us around made it even more exciting.

“I was wearing a champagne and gold Mori Lee dress and gold heels. I had my hair in a curly up do and my make up was smokey eyes with a nude lipstick.

“We were taken to prom in a glass Cinderella carriage pulled by white horses. It was amazing.”

Miss Ross was interviewed on ITV’s This Morning on Monday, ahead of her episode at 8pm this evening.

She said: “I am looking forward to seeing us all on television and can’t wait to hear what people have to say about the show. There has already been a lot of talk about it on Twitter.

“All my family and friends are excited to see it and will all be gathered around the TV watching. Hopefully, I will also be celebrating my GCSE results afterwards.”
