Garden preserves memory of tragic teen

A memorial garden has been created in memory of a talented teenager who has died suddenly.

A memorial garden has been created in memory of Michael Gill, who died suddenly last week aged 17, by his friends.

Friends of Michael Gill, 17, created the colourful garden on Hillside Mount in Pontefract, close to where Michael grew up.

They planted flowers and installed lights and ornaments at the site after Michael died on May 1.

Michael was a keen guitar player who was fond of art and music and was training to he a hairdresser.

His mum Jane Gill said: “He had so many talents.”

Michael is survived by his sisters Melissa, 22, Kerisha, 11 and Sophie-Leigh, 6.
