Frickley Athletic find out who they will be playing on the opening weekend of the Evo-Stik Premier League season tomorrow when the fixture list is planned to be published.

The FA Trophy draw has been made, however, with the Blues entering the competition in the first qualifying round when they will be away to either Shaw Lane FC or Scarborough on Saturday, October 29.

They were due to begin their preparations with a first pre-season game against Barnsley FC last night and continue at home to Halifax Town next Saturday (kick-off 3pm).

Further warm-up matches are planned away to Maltby Main (July 23), Ossett Albion (July 26), AFC Emley (July 28) and Goole AFC (August 6) as well as at home to Scarborough Athletic (August 2).

Frickley have registered Jed Wilkinson for the first team from the club’s under 19s academy.

The club is always looking for volunteers to help out at the ground with various jobs, especially during the week. Anyone who can spare any time can contact or let any of the clubs officials know.
