After going so close to stunning leaders Buxton last weekend, Frickley Athletic will be aiming for a similar display of determination and skill when they face second-placed Rushall Olympic in the Evo-Stik Premier League this Saturday.

Lee Morris’s men are away this time and know they face a tough task with their hosts being just one point behind Buxton with a game in hand after last weekend’s games.

But the Blues rose to their task last Saturday when few outside the club gave them much chance to taking anything from their game against Buxton following four straight losses in the league.

Morris got a great response out of his players after they had been well beaten in midweek and played a big part himself as he donned his boots and was in the starting 11 for the first time since returning to the club as player-manager.

Wide man Tyler Williams and loan signing Shiraz Khan also played a big part in a display that deserved victory and the Blues boss will be hoping he can count on both again for the trip to Rushall.
