Frickley Athletic are heading for Sheffield United’s Bramall Lane ground after making it through to the final of the Sheffield & Hallam Senior Cup.
The Blues will be out to retain the trophy on Tuesday, April 26 (7.30pm) when they will meet the winners of tonight’s semi-final between Shaw Lane Aquaforce and Handsworth Parramore.
Karl Rose’s men made it through to the final with a convincing 5-1 semi-final success against Northern Counties East League side Hallam last Thursday.
Centre-back Jameel Ible sent them on the way with the opening goal on 14 minutes and two more just before half-time from Chris Wood and Luke Hinsley had the Blues in control by the break.
Mikah Bishop pulled a goal back for Hallam on 66 minutes, but their hopes of a comeback were dashed 10 minutes later when striker Jacob Hazel netted.
As the game went into added time, Tyler Williams put the icing on the cake with Frickley’s fifth.
Frickley: Malkowski, Bruce, Jeff, Hinsley (Rose 86), Gooda, Ible, Akeroyd, Ellam (Parkinson 79), Hazel, Wood, Williams.
