Frickley Athletic have boosted their squad with the signing of Andy Gascoigne on a one month loan deal from Harrogate Town.

The midfielder went straight into the Blues team for the Stafford game and gives manager Karl Rose more options in a busy period for the club.

Frickley now face two games over the coming bank holiday as they look to climb off the bottom of the Evo-Stik Premier League.

The first of the matches sees them at home to Mickleover Sports on Saturday (kick-off) and they can expect a tough game with their opponents having won two of their league games so far.

On Monday the Blues face a seaside trip when they go to Whitby, another side to make a good start to the campaign, for a game kicking off at 3pm.

Frickley, meanwhile, have been handed a tough draw in the FA Cup as they are away to notorious cup battlers Blyth Spartans in a first qualifying round tie due to be played on Saturday, September 3 (kick-off 3pm).
