Families living in the south east of Wakefield district are being invited to take part in a free 12-month healthy lifestyle programme.
Health trainers from South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust are calling on families to get involved in the Healthy Active Lives Together programme which encourages families to make healthy lifestyle changes.
The programme, run with Wakefield Council, provides families with a tailor made programmes to help them learn about healthy eating, physical activity and cooking skills.
Donna Cockroft, project leader, said: “This is a great opportunity for families to work together and find out how small changes can make a big difference to leading healthier lives.”
Coun Pat Garbutt, Wakefield Council cabinet member for adults and health, said: “This programme aims to help residents and their families eat healthier, get active and cook better food.”
Families interested in taking part must commit to attend all 14 sessions, live in the south east of the district and have children aged eight to 11.
