Fostering fortnight backed by council

RESIDENTS across the Express area are being asked if they have room in their life to look after a child as two weeks dedicated to fostering is launched.

Wakefield Council is backing the national campaign and hosting a number of drop-in sessions to give people the chance to ask questions and receive information about fostering.

They take place on May 21 at Pontefract Library from 10 -1pm and at Pugney’s Country Park, Wakefield, 1.30-4pm, to coincide with fostering fortnight, which runs from May 14 until 27.
