A man arrested on suspicion of murder has been released without charge.
A 44-year-old man was arrested on Sunday in connection with the unexplained death of a woman in Normanton.
Emergency services were called to a house on Castleford Road at 7pm on Sunday after responding to reports of a woman with life threatening injuries. She died a short time later.
A post-mortem examination was carried out today (Monday).
Detective Chief Inspector Elizabeth Belton, from West Yorkshire Police’s Protective Services (Crime), said: “A forensic post-mortem has been inconclusive and further tests will be undertaken to establish the cause of death.
“A 44-year-old man arrested in connection with the investigation has now been released without charge.
