Appeal after woman injured in Pontefract hit-and-run

Police are appealing for the occupants of the van to come forward after the collision on Wakefield Road.
It happened on Friday, October 23 at 6.45am when the woman was walking along the road.

Hide AdAs she neared the Barracks Business Centre on Queens Avenue, she was struck by the van.
The vehicle was travelling from the direction of Pontefract towards Featherstone and did not stop at the scene.
The carriageway was left blocked for several hours and traffic was being turned around by police.
