These year four pupils put on a dazzling production of a hit West-End musical after just a day of rehearsals.
The eight and nine-year-olds from Alverthorpe St Paul’s School, Jerry Clay Academy and Stanley Grove Primary worked together to present Joseph and the Amaizng Technicolour Dreamcoat at St Paul’s Church hall.
The pupils had rehearsed songs at their separate schools but only met last Thursday to put the final preparations in place for the show later that evening.
And the hall was packed out with proud parents and teachers who came to watch.
Music teacher Ellie Brown said: “I was so proud of them. they all did really well and worked together to pull off a brilliant show.
“They had all been practicing their songs and watching the show at home. And they gave it their all and absolutely loved it.”
The music collaboration was the first project the schools had done as part of the Outwood Together partnership, which was formed last year.
The group is made up of eight schools who work together to develop innovative teaching and learning projects.
