Following further speculation about Denny Solomona trying to engineer a move away from the club on social media today Castleford Tigers have posted a statement on their website saying that they are now involving their lawyers in the matter.
The Tigers have stated their case all along that Solomona was not for sale and had two years of his contract to run with chief executive Steve Gill earlier today making it clear they had not sold him.
The full club statement reads:
“Castleford Tigers are aware of press speculation involving one of their players.
The policy of the club is not to comment on private and confidential matters.
Given the information which appears to be in the public domain, we confirm that we have now instructed our lawyers and until stated otherwise no further press comments will be made.”
