Castleford singer Jack Walton’s X Factor dream lives on after he made it through the second week of live shows tonight (Sunday).
The 18-year-old once again impressed with his rendition of Paula Adbul’s Straight Up on last night’s (Saturday’s) show.
Fellow contestants Stephanie Nala and Chloe Jasmine were both sent home from the ITV talent show tonight.
Speaking after his perfomance judge Louis Walsh said: “What a brilliant start to the show. I agree with Louis Tomlinson you are the real deal. You’re all about music.”
Cheryl Fernandez-Versini said: “You know what’s really lovely, you and Mel have a real connection and you get each other.”
Simon Cowell told Jack: “You’re a hard worker. I think this week was stronger than last week and you’re one of my favourite contestants.”
Jack, of Aketon Road, will now take to the stage for the third week of live shows on Saturday.
See this week’s Pontefract and Castleford Express for more incuding an exclusive interview with the former Castleford Academy pupil.
