POLICE shut down a cannabis farm in Havercroft after receiving information from the public.
Officers from the Wakefield rural neighbourhood police team (NPT) found ten cannabis plants and associated equipment at a house on Hatfield Place at 9.15am on Sunday, January 22.
A 43-year-old man was arrested for cannabis cultivation and given a caution.
Insp Richard Clare, from the NPT, said: “This raid was a result of community intelligence.
“If people tell us about this sort of activity then we will take action.
“We have had a lot of positive feedback from the community about this raid. To report suspicious activity call police on 101.”
