AN ACTIVE woman who heads a family with five generations of girls has celebrated her 100th birthday.

Lotti Finn, from Featherstone, celebrated the milestone on Friday, July 13, with her family at Hemsworth Park Care Home.

Mrs Finn has lived there since April 2009, but previously lived in Featherstone where she ran a hairdressing salon for most of her life.

She married David at the age of 25 years old but is now widdowed.

The couple had three daughters and one son, and Mrs Finn now has 10 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter who makes the fifth generation of girls in the family.

Daughter Christine Kingnan, 61, said: “She’s a very active lady and she gets involved in most activities in the care home every day.

“The highlight of her week is on Wednesdays when she really enjoys having her hair done by a hairdresser.”

“She’s a very cheerful lady, she’s always chatting to everyone.”
