St Botolph’s C of E Academy has received planning permission to bulldoze the block and build a state-of-the-art building next to the existing reception block.

The site of the old nursery, built in the 1970s, would then be used as extra car-parking space, reducing the reliance on on-street parking around the Primrose Vale school.

“The existing nursery block was constructed at a time where safeguarding and general safety of pupils was not as strict as today.”

The proposal includes the formation of new pedestrian access off Tithe Barn Road, complete with the installation of a new powder-coated 1.8-metre-high aluminium weld mesh entrance gate.
