A DEVASTATED community is due to pay its respects to six-year-old Ben Newell today.
Hundreds of mourners were expected at Sharlston Parish Church to pay their respects to Streethouse J&I pupil Ben, pictured, who died after falling through a frozen pond on February 7.
Rescuers managed to pull Ben's 12-year-old brother Dylan out of the water, but Ben died in hospital later that day.
