HEMSWORTH MW bounced back from their weekend defeat with a point in a thrilling 4-4 Northern Counties East League draw at Rossington Main on Tuesday night.

The Fitzwilliam Sports Complex club lost 3-0 at Eccleshill United at the weekend - a result that flattered the hosts.

But they bounced back in emphatic fashion in Doncaster in midweek.

The hosts stormed into a 3-0 lead before Lee Swift started an unlikely comeback for Hemsworth in the 74th minute.

The visitors then went on to score three goals in four minutes to turn the game completely on its head.

Craig Wilkinson, Tom Hemingway and Ryan Pleasants were the goalscorers but the action didn’t stop there as Main crushed Welfare’s joy with an equaliser with two minutes to go through Jonathan Mirfin.

MW can take plenty of positives from the see-saw match ahead of Saturday’s home game against Grimsby Borough (kick-off 3pm).
