Wanderers pipped defending champions Flanagan’s Army for the Five Towns Quiz League Division One title last night (Monday).

Flanagan’s finished runners up after losing their final league match 76-66 to fourth-placed Railwaymen.

Wanderers, who lost to Flanagan’s the previous week, regained top spot with an 82-58 win at Featherstone Phoenix.

Wanderers were crowned champions for the third time in four years because they had a superior points scoring record to Flanagan’s after the teams finished level on points.

Third-placed Olde Taverners won 73-59 at bottom team G-Fivers.

Division Two champions Last Orders slipped to their first league defeat when they lost their final game.

The Featherstone team were beaten 70-67 at runners-up Crofton WMC.
