Upton under eights junior RL team were in outstanding form in a victory against Doncaster Toll Bar.
Kai Johnson started the scoring early on after good work from Reilly Parry and Alfie Kolka.
Jermaine Williamson increased the lead with a superb solo effort. Toll Bar hit back but Upton regained control with as try from Toby Ludewig after Rhys Ellis and Joe Fudge made good yards.
The teams were level at half-time but the second half was all one way traffic.
Ashton Winks scored a length of the field try. The tries then came flooding in for Upton with Ludewig grabbing his hat trick, Johnson scoring his second and Jacob Abell bagging his first touchdown of the season.
Birthday boy Jayden Male grabbed a try after Dom Simmons and Jack Sykes paved the way.
Upton’s awards went to top tackler Jayden Male, most improved Jermaine Williamson, parents MOM Kai Johnson and Kai Sykes MOM for his efforts in attack and defence.
Upton under eights have had a good response from local businesses willing to sponsor the youngsters and they are tremendously grateful.
