UPTON ARLFC will be the base for Scotland Rugby League hosting an ‘Exiles’ day this Sunday.

The club’s Quarry Lane base will see Scotland’s U19s and Open Age Exiles squads training in the morning.

The older group will then go on to play a match against a Great Britain Teachers XIII at 2pm.

The training sessions are open to all eligible players - those who have been born in Scotland or who have a parent or grandparent born in Scotland and new players are also welcome to join in to bolster the ranks.

There’s also the chance to go on and represent Scotland A further down the line.

Anyone keen to attend or be added to the database for information on future Scotland RL Exiles events should contact Dan Beardshaw at Dpbeardshaw@hotmail.com (Open Age) or Gavin Willacy at rlbravehearts@hotmail.com (for players aged 16-19).

The Under-19 group are coached by Leigh and Scotland half-back John Duffy.
