Upton set for Sharlston Rovers Yorkshire Cup test

RUGBY League gets back underway this weekend after the break for the Super League Grand Final.

Upton turn their attentions to cup action and a trip to Pennine League Premier Division side Sharlston Rovers in the second round of the BARLA Yorkshire Cup.

Sharlston will be favourites to progress at their Weeland Road base but the Quarry Lane men will go there looking to record a cup upset.

They’ll also go there in confident mood having won their last match at Morley Borough 46-16.

Kinsley Raiders and Ryhill Hammers will continue to do battle in Pennine League Divsiion 6.

Raiders will visit local rivals Wakefield City while Ryhill host Kings Cross Park A. Both matches will kick-off at 2.30pm.

Ryhill will be eager to bounce back after losing 42-18 against Guiseley last time out while Kinsley will be looking to build on their victory over Worth Village.
