UPTON RLFC will call on the local community to help spruce up their Quarry Lane base.
The club, who play in the CMS Yorkshire League, has signed up for the ‘Engage with your club’ initiative, which aims to help local grass roots rugby league clubs.
They’re one of 65 community clubs who will look to organise volunteer days where members, friends and the local community can turn up to help improve facilities.
And two of the clubs have the chance of winning £5,000 for a makeover of their facilities.
The campaign is supported by Brian Noble, Jon Wells and Lee Radford and Engage Mutual is also providing clubs with free online resources and guidance on how to run their action day.
The two clubs chosen to receive the makeover will be notified by the end of July.
Engage Mutual, main sponsor of Super League, is running the campaign to help local grass roots rugby clubs.
