HEMSWORTH scored ten tries for the second time in as many matches, this time in the league, to cruise to a 66-0 victory at Leeds Corinthians.
The Moxon Fields men stormed to a 62-3 victory at Adwick in the Yorkshire Silver Trophy last time out and continued their freescoring at a venue where they fell to defeat last season.
Rob Hooker led the try-scoring with a superb treble, while man-of-the-match Dale Joburns chipped in with a brace as tries came thick and fast.
Dale Harrison, Dave Gorton, Jake Thomson, Jacob Bailey and Aaron Winks also got their names on the scoresheet as in-form Hemsworth simply over-powered their hosts from start to finish.
Joe Thompson successfully kicked either of the ten conversions.
And for head coach Mark Wilson it was a result that had been coming.
“We’ve started to gel, for the last three or four weeks you’ve sensed that the team has started to gel and improve and it all clicked,” he said.
“We dominated the scrum, line-out and rucks and we were absolutely superb throughout, it was great to watch.”
Hemsworth also managed to keep their opponents out for the first time this season, something Wilson insists is down to his side’s improved discipline.
“We’ve been trying to work on our penalty count recently and we only gave three penalties away all match,” he said.
“It meant they [Leeds] didn’t get much possession of the ball and we were able to dictate the flow of the game.”
