FORTUNE deserted ten-man Frickley Athletic as their winless run stretched to five games with a 2-0 defeat at Stafford Rangers on Saturday.
The Blues dominated first-half exchanges but found themselves trailing at the break thanks to a 20th-minute Michael Bell strike.
Kelvin Bleau, Ollie Ryan and Danny South all had good chances to fire the Blues ahead but Stafford hit Peter Rinkcavage’s men with a bolt out of the blue with Bell’s super strike.
The chances continued to come for Frickley after the resumption but their task was made tougher just before the hour mark when South was sent-off for a second bookable offence.
It allowed Stafford to come more into exchanges and they wrapped the points up in the 83rd minute when Michael Carr doubled their lead from the spot after Mark Gray conceded a penalty.
