Featherstone Rovers continued their winning start under new head coach Andy Hay with Sunday’s 32-26 victory at Batley Bulldogs.
Featherstone’s six-try display gave them revenge for a 21-20 defeat against the Bulldogs when the sides last met in the Championship play-offs last season.
Early tries from Greg Worthington and Ben Hellewell put Rovers in control before Ben Blackmore’s opened Batley’s account.
Matty Dale marked his comeback from a broken hand by scoring to give Featherstone a 16-8 lead at half-time.
In the second-half, early tries from on-loan Danny Bridge and Ian Hardman increased the visitors’ lead before Blackmore bagged his second.
Jack Bussey’s try out wide sealed victory for Featherstone but the Bulldogs earned a bonus point with late tries from Lee Paterson and Alex Rowe.
