RETURNING striker Ollie Ryan scored his first goals in a Frickley Athletic shirt as the Blues drew 3-3 with Staveley MW in a friendly last night.

Ryan has endured an injury-hit start to his Frickley career but was given a much-needed run-out in a hastily arranged friendly clash against Northern Counties East League opposition.

Manager Peter Rinkcavage will have been buoyed by his performance and could throw him into the starting eleven for Saturday’s FA Trophy clash against FC United of Manchester at the Tech5 Stadium.

Jack Watts also scored as the Blues found themselves 3-1 up before Staveley hit back to level with virtually the last kick of the game.

Rinkcavage arranged the friendly to give some players needing match fitness a run-out. And the friendly proved useful with no competitive midweek match for the Blues.
