Featherstone Rovers are staging two special events to celebrate two of the finest achievements in the club’s history.
Forty years ago, Rovers beat Bradford Northern 33-14 at Wembley in the Challenge Cup final.
On Friday, July 26, the day will be remembered with a 40th anniversary three-course meal in the clubhouse at Big Fellas Stadium.
It will be hosted by MC Darren Payne, with all players and coaches invited to the event.
Coach Peter Fox (pictured), skipper John Newlove, Vince Farrar and Paul Coventry will be among those at the special reunion.
Thirty years ago in 1983, Rovers upset all the odds to beat Hull 14-12 at Wembley to lift the cup for the third time in the club’s illustrious history.
