Featherstone Rovers will be without second-rower Jamie Cording for Sunday’s home Championship game against Batley Bulldogs because of a rib injury.

Matty Wildie and Steve Snitch will also again be missing. They are both set be out for a further month with knee injuries.

Featherstone coach Jon Sharp will be checking with Leeds Rhinos on the availability of dual registered players.

Rhinos trio Mitch Achurch, Jordan Baldwinson and Ash Handley played for Rovers in last weekend’s 22-12 defeat at Bradford.

“Cording picked up a rib injury at Bradford and he won’t play this week. The rib is not cracked but he’ll be out a couple of weeks,” said Sharp.

“We’ll have to wait and see with the dual reg because I know Leeds have a couple of injuries as well.

“We’d love the blokes back who played for us last week - they were great for us - but I’m not sure of the injury situation at Leeds.

“The Rhinos play on Sunday this time - the same day as us - so I assume that has implications as well.”
