Featherstone Rovers have delayed appointing a new head coach until they have interviewed new applicants.
The interviews will take place following this weekend’s Super League games.
Rovers chief executive Craig Poskitt said: “Some new names have come forward and we have to consider such applicants for the benefit of the club.
“We also have to respect there are Super League matches being played this weekend and coaches will need time to speak to their respective senior officials regarding their futures.
“We are co-operating with clubs and understand the disruption that can be caused.
“As a result, we have told new and existing applicants that the appointment will now be confirmed next week.
“Majority shareholder Feisal Nahaboo, who is helping to find the club the right man, will be travelling to Heathrow Airport later today to interview a new applicant.”
