Featherstone’s six-match winning league run ended with a shock 36-24 home defeat against Doncaster.
Leading 24-22 with seven minutes left, Rovers were sunk by three late tries.
They recovered from 12-0 down after 11 minutes to be level at 18-18 at half-time.
Although they fell behind again the second-half, they looked to have the measure of Doncaster when James Lockwood’s 58th minute score and skipper Liam Finn’s penalty goal 10 minutes later put them in front for the first time.
But Doncaster came out on top when Stu Sanderson bagged two late tries and Brett Waller also crossed.
Andy Bostock (pictured), Matty Dale and Will Sharp were the other try scorers for Featherstone, who gave a debut to onloan centre Vince Mellars.
Doncaster’s other points came from tries by Lee Waterman, Carl Hughes, Paul Cooke and Liam Kay, plus four Sanderson goals.
