Featherstone Rovers coach Jon Sharp says he is “happy where we are at” after his side won 30-10 at Swinton Lions on Sunday.

Rovers climbed to fifth in the Kingstone Press Championship with their fourth straight win after scoring six unanswered tries in building a 30-0 lead.

Promoted Swinton’s only points came from two late tries

“We were really good for about 65 minutes,” said Sharp.

“The last 10 minutes was a bit scratchy but overall I was really pleased.

“The defence, which has been consistent all year, was very good and we played some really good attacking stuff and scored some great tries.

“There were plenty of travelling Featherstone supporters there and I thought they enjoyed themselves.

“We can improve - we know that - and we will over the coming months.

“We’ve been defending well - we’ve got the best defensivce record in the competitionn - and we are pretty keen on improving our attack and that will come.

“We saw signs today that our halves are playing really well together and we’ve now got a number nine who is familiar with that position so it’s helping us look a little bit smoother in attack.”
