FEATHERSTONE ROVERS head coach Jon Sharp is looking for a response from his players in Sunday’s home Championship game against Hull KR.

Featherstone slipped from second to fourth in the table after their six-match winning run ended with a 42-16 defeat against top-four rivals London Broncos at Blackpool’s Summer Bash.

“We made a poor start and our key players failed to handle the occasion. It was a day to forget for us and I want a response next weekend,” said Sharp.

“We were second best. London were good and we were absolutely awful. I was not happy with the performance whatsoever.

“London were the dominant team. Their forward pack beat ours and I didn’t see much of a response from us, which was disappointing.

“I think we tried to overplay. We went behind early on and started to push passes.”

Winger Scott Turner will have a scan on a knee injury after being taken off in the second-half against London.
