Coach John Bastian says there could be “one or two changes” to Featherstone’s line-up for Sunday’s Kingston Press Championship game against Halifax at Big Fellas Stadium (3pm).
Rovers came through last weekend’s surprise 11-10 opening day defeat at Dewsbury Rams without any major injuries.
Kyle Briggs, Ian Hardman Andy Kain and new arrival Etu Uaisele could now come into the reckoning for the first home league game this Sunday.
“In a physical match Iike the one at Dewsbury you are going to get bumps and bruises but other than that we’ve got a clean bill of health,” said Bastian.
“There will possibly be one or two changes. Myself and my staff will decide on that through the early part of this week if we need any but there may be one or two.
“Kyle Briggs is pretty close now and training really well. He will be considered, like all the squad, for this weekend.
“Ian Hardman and Andy Kain are fine and will also be considered against the others. We do that every week and we pick what we think is the best team and our best performing team that can go out and get us the three points.
“With Andy, we’ve just got to monitor the groin injury and keep an eye on it but he’s not far off now.”
Tongan international centre or winger Uaisele arrived on Monday and trained with his new teammates for the first time on Tuesday evening.
Bastian said: “Etu will be considered for this weekend, we will see how he goes in training. He might need to settle in for a few weeks so we will see on that one.”
